About

Los Altos Elementary services over 475 students daily in a Kindergarten through Fifth grade program.  Our school site features a traditional program along with a Spanish Dual Immersion strand on campus (K-2 currently).   Most of our families have chosen to be part of the Tiger Family with over 65 percent of our students coming from beyond our attendance area.

In addition, our school is school-wide Title 1 and has received California Distinguished School honors three times and the Title 1 High Achieving Award in 2013.  Our strong community and sense of pride makes Los Altos a true family.

Our students focus on being Global 21st Century learners.  All students whether in Dual Immersion or our traditional English program are exposed to Spanish Language, Art, and Culture through units including Performing and Visual Arts.  Our students also are global citizens who focus on themes throughout the year.  Our students also receive technology embedded lessons weekly and have the opportunity to participate in STEM activities to prepare for Newton Middle School, Los Altos High School, and life beyond the classroom walls.

We welcome you to our school.  Bienvenidos a nuestras familia.
